My old patent oxfords have seen me through a few winters and lots of puddles, they were looking shab-city. I saw these Viktor & Rolf shoes after last seasons runway show and would have given my first born for them, had I had a first born...it's a good thing I don't have kids yet.
To get the color right I mixed cadmium deep and vermillion.
I put the tape basically around the middle.
You need LOTS of paint.
You need a lot of coats. I did about 20. The more the better, too thin will chip off. Make sure you let each layer dry before the next coat. This is after one...
I also painted about 1.5 inches in the middle of the shoe lace.
Be careful when you take the tape off, it's a good idea to have something with a sharp edge in case the tape starts to pull the paint.
Not too shabby.

They look fabulous! Pinning for future reference :)
